LAHORE – A road rage incident escalated when a luxury car allegedly blocked traffic leading to a heat wave. The situation quickly turned violent, with three persons, including an intelligence officer, allegedly attacked by the car’s owners with sticks and other weapons.
The incident took place in Lahore’s Defense B area, where three persons, including an officer of a state agency, were allegedly brutally attacked by youths traveling in a luxury vehicle.
The high-end car was allegedly obstructing the flow of traffic. The situation turned violent in moments when citizens tried to plead with the driver to pull over using horns and flashing lights.
The occupants of the luxury vehicle allegedly lost their temper and violently attacked 3 persons in the middle of the road. Eyewitnesses claim that the accused used batons, electric shock devices and even weapons during the attack, turning a normal moment of traffic into a scene of terror.
The FIR further revealed that the victims were not only assaulted but were allegedly held against their will for short periods of time and threatened with dire consequences. The disturbing clip of the incident, which has since surfaced online, has fueled public outrage and raised serious questions about road safety and unchecked aggression.
The police have registered a case under sections related to assault, illegal imprisonment and criminal intimidation, and have launched a thorough investigation.
Officials say that the named accused also include the son of a well-known businessman of Lahore. Raids are being carried out at several locations as law enforcement teams race to nab those involved.
Police officials assured that all aspects of the case are being carefully examined and strict legal action will be taken irrespective of the influence or background of both the parties.
