ISLAMABAD – Former Prime Minister of Pakistan and founder of PTI Imran Khan The cricketer-turned-politician has undergone a fifth intravitreal injection for the eye condition at Pimms Hospital.

According to medical details, the 74-year-old man was brought to Pims from Adiala Jail late at night to undergo a scheduled follow-up procedure. After a brief medical evaluation, ophthalmologists confirmed that he was in a stable condition. Advanced imaging, including optical coherence tomography (OCT), reportedly showed signs of improvement in his eye health.

Following a standard protocol, informed consent was obtained and the injection was administered under microscopic surgical guidance in a fully supervised operating theatre. The procedure was performed as a day care intervention, meaning overnight admission was not required.

Throughout the treatment, the medical staff reported that Imran Khan remained quite stable before, during and after the procedure. He was discharged the same day and transferred back to Adiala Jail after receiving procedural instructions and follow-up counselling.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gauhar Khan also confirmed the treatment, saying that Khan was taken to Pims last night and returned after the injection was completed. He added that the party was later informed about the follow-up check-up carried out earlier in the day at the hospital.

The PTI leadership demanded that Imran Khan be shifted from Pims to Shifa International Hospital for treatment and also demanded that his family be allowed to meet him.

The latest medical update adds another chapter to the ongoing political debate and concerns about his health condition and custodial medical care.
