An open manhole in Lahore took the life of a child
LAHORE – Another life has been claimed by an open manhole in Sunder area of Lahore.
According to details, a 5-year-old child identified as Hasan fell into a manhole and died in Sunder.
After the incident, the child’s body was shifted to the hospital for legal proceedings, while the Sundar police have started legal proceedings.
In a separate incident near Changa Manga, 4 children drowned in a pond. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow and regret while taking notice of the tragedy.
The chief minister also expressed his condolences to the bereaved families, sought a report of the incidents and directed the authorities to determine the responsibility.
