Retired soldier’s son abducted by Kashmir Action Committee in Rawalkot
ISLAMABAD – A retired Pakistan Army soldier has leveled serious allegations against members of the outlawed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) after his son was allegedly abducted, assaulted and robbed in Rawalkot.
Retired serviceman Naseem Kayani alleged that his son Dilawar Kayani was targeted by people associated with the banned outfit. According to Kayani, his son was subjected to physical violence, deprived of his belongings and later taken to an unknown location.
The man’s father demanded the immediate recovery of his son and called on law enforcement agencies to fully investigate the incident and prosecute those allegedly involved. Kayani warned that if any harm was done to Dilawar or other family members, the responsibility would be on those whom he accused of perpetrating the incident under the banner of the banned committee.
Family members present at the press conference claimed that they have been facing constant harassment and threats since the incident. He said that he was being targeted because of his patriotic views and support for Pakistan.
Adding another dimension to the allegations, the family said personal photos and videos stored on Delaware’s mobile phone were allegedly accessed without permission and later circulated on social media, raising serious concerns about privacy violations.
The allegations have heightened concerns for the missing man’s safety, with the family urging authorities to take immediate action to secure his release and ensure his safe return. He also demanded accountability and legal action against those responsible if the claims are true.
So far, there has been no official response from the accused group or the authorities concerned regarding the allegations.
