Thousands of Iranians reached the shrine of Imam Reza to pay their last farewell to Khamenei
Literally countless mourners bid a final farewell to late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on the streets of Iran’s holy city of Mashhad. Waves of grieving supporters gathered around Imam Raza’s shrine and turned the city into a sea of black as emotions ran high during the last leg of the funeral procession.
From the crowded streets to the vast courtyards of the shrine, mourners paid their last respects in farewells marked by grief, devotion and unwavering loyalty. Chants echoed through the gathering as supporters honored the late leader’s legacy and vowed to carry forward the ideals they believed he represented.
