US pounds Iran once again after massive explosions in Bushehr, Bandar Abbas.
TEHRAN – A series of explosions have rocked southern Iran as three explosions were reported amid a marked increase in attacks targeting military, nuclear and civilian infrastructure.
Iranian media say the latest wave of attacks has hit several key sites in southern Iran, including an airport, a logistics center and the Bushehr nuclear power plant. Railway tracks in northern Iran were also reportedly targeted, raising fresh concerns over the wider scope of the conflict and its potential impact on urban infrastructure.

The development comes after fresh warnings from US President Donald Trump, who vowed to increase pressure on Iranian leaders in an effort to bring Tehran back to the negotiating table. Iranian officials have vehemently rejected the threats, insisting they will not negotiate under US coercion.
Earlier, there were explosions in Ahvaz, the capital of Khuzestan province. The events coincided with the funeral and burial of the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who Iranian officials claim was killed in a joint US-Israeli operation in February, adding another layer of tension to an already volatile situation.
According to state news agency IRNA, the governor of Bushehr confirmed that explosions were heard in both Bushehr and the nearby town of Choghadak. Officials are investigating whether the explosions were caused by Iranian air defense systems responding to the attack, targeting enemy missiles or intercepting enemy drones, he said. Authorities have not yet determined the exact cause.
Meanwhile, residents of the southern port city of Bandar Abbas also heard explosions, according to the semi-official Maher news agency. Maher further said that two explosions were heard near the Bushehr nuclear facility and in Choghdak. So far, authorities have not released official information on the casualties, damage, or the exact cause of the explosions.
