Karan Ashfaq clarified that she has moved on but social media users are still bringing up her previous marriage.
Digital creator Karan Ashfaq recently found herself at the center of a heated debate on social media after she responded to followers bringing up her ex-husband, actor Imran Ashraf in the comments section of an Instagram post.
Karan shared a reel from outside a Louis Vuitton store. While the post appeared to focus on her current lifestyle, some followers quickly turned the discussion to her past marriage.

A social media user suggested that Karan left Imran because she could not provide the kind of luxurious and bold lifestyle she seems to be enjoying now. Karan responded by drawing a strong line, asking followers not to mention the name of anyone he no longer has a relationship with.
The actress was even more blunt when another user claimed that Imran divorced her because of her lifestyle. His sarcastic response, agreeing with the claim, further fueled the online debate.
The exchange comes years after Karan and Imran announced the end of their marriage in October 2022. Her divorce announcement at the time asked the public to respect her privacy.
Since their separation, Karan has repeatedly faced questions and comments about her previous marriage. In previous remarks, she has spoken about the pressures placed on women after divorce and criticized the tendency to place the burden of a failed marriage on the woman.
In another exchange, a follower said that Karan’s current lifestyle was something her ex-husband didn’t allow. Rather than engage in a lengthy explanation, Kiran simply indicated that she had moved on and suggested the commenter do the same.
When another user reminded her of the freedom she wanted during her marriage, Karan pointed out that she is now remarried, has a child and has moved on from that chapter of her life. She again requested that people stop using her ex-husband’s name on her profile.
Another comment mocked the idea that Karan was now enjoying luxuries that Imran allegedly did not provide. Her response was consistent: she told the commenter not to bring up people she no longer has a relationship with.
Some social media users defended the actress, saying that a woman should be allowed to rebuild her life after a divorce without being repeatedly questioned about her ex-husband. Others criticized his looks and lifestyle, while some supporters of Imran Ashraf continued to defend the actor and questioned Karan’s choice.
