Students are back in schools after a 3-month summer vacation
LAHORE – Students of Punjab are returning to classrooms for a new academic chapter as the long summer vacation is finally over.
After weeks of vacation, all public and private schools in Punjab have reopened, with students returning with gusto. The corridors and playgrounds of the school were once again alive with children’s voices, while the teachers warmly welcomed the students.
Parents welcomed the return to normality, hoping that the new academic phase would help students regain momentum and achieve better academic results.
New school hours
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat welcomed the return of students after summer vacation and announced that schools across the province will follow the officially notified timings from Monday to Friday.
School timings have been fixed from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm, institutions have been directed to organize their daily schedule as per the timings mentioned in the official notification.
The minister said the learning journey would now resume with “new energy” from where it left off, stressing that teachers should help students whose studies were interrupted during the holidays to regain academic continuity.
The provincial education minister also revealed that consultations are underway to devise a new strategy to prevent educational losses in the future.
With schools now back in session, Punjab’s education system has entered a new academic phase, with the government facing the dual challenge of restoring learning momentum after a long hiatus and ensuring that children stay engaged.
