Pakistan, Arab and Islamic countries condemn Israeli demands to evict Palestinians from Gaza.

ISLAMABAD – Foreign ministers of Pakistan and seven Arab and Islamic countries have strongly condemned the remarks of Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Defense Minister Israel Katz regarding the relocation of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

In a joint statement, the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates rejected any proposal or plan to forcibly remove Palestinians from their land.

He called such statements and proposals a clear violation of international law, including international humanitarian law, and warned that they are a direct threat to the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.

The Ministers reiterated their rejection of any attempt to displace Palestinians under any pretext or justification, whether inside or outside the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

He warned that if calls for forced displacement were translated into official policy or concrete measures aimed at uprooting Palestinians from their land.

The foreign ministers also said such moves would directly undermine international efforts to achieve peace, including US President Donald Trump’s comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict, which expressly rejects forced displacement.

He warned that any such move could severely damage the chances of regional peace and stability.

The ministers stressed that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory and they called for maintaining the territorial integrity of the Palestinian territories including Gaza and the West Bank with East Jerusalem.

He reiterated that the only way to a just and lasting peace is the implementation of a two-state solution, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant international resolutions.

The Foreign Ministers urged the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to fulfill its responsibilities and strongly oppose any attempt to create a new demographic or geographic reality in the occupied Palestinian territory.

He stressed the importance of upholding international law and reiterated his full support for the Palestinian people’s right to stability and to live on their land.

The ministers also rejected all attempts to erase the Palestinian cause or undermine the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
