Civil-military leadership pays tribute to Major Aziz Bhatti on his death anniversary

ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI – Pakistan’s civil and military leadership has paid heartfelt tributes to Nishan Haider recipient Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed on his 61st death anniversary.

In their separate messages on this occasion, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the great sacrifice of Major Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed is a shining example of the sanctity of the homeland and unshakable determination for national defense.

President Asif Ali Zardari said that the martyr’s unparalleled sacrifice and unparalleled bravery is a source of pride for the entire nation and a torch for the young generation.

He said that the nation will continue to value the sacrifices of its brave martyrs and salutes their spirit of patriotism and devotion to the country.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Major Aziz Bhatti bravely sacrificed his precious life for the motherland in 1965 war.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the soil of our country will bear witness that its brave sons risk their lives for its defense and sanctity.

Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu and Commander National Strategic Command General Syed Amir Raza on behalf of Pakistan Army have paid homage to Major General Qamar Javed Bajwa. On his 61st martyrdom anniversary.

According to the ISPR, the armed forces of Pakistan reiterated their steadfast commitment to defend the sovereignty and security of the country with the same courage, determination and spirit of sacrifice.
