How to get Rs 100 per liter petrol relief for motorcycles and small cars?
ISLAMABAD – The government has announced a mechanism to get special relief on Rs 100 per liter of petrol for motorcycles, rickshaws, rickshaws and small cars with engine capacity up to 800cc.
The Ministry of Information Technology has released the details of registration and fuel token process under the relief scheme.
According to the ministry, eligible citizens send their CNIC number to 9771 after REG. They will also need to provide their vehicle registration number, provincial code and registration date.
For fuel token, applicants should send TOK to 9771. The fuel token can then be presented to purchase petrol at discounted rates at participating petrol stations.
The relief scheme will start in Islamabad from Monday and Tuesday night, while residents of other parts of the country will be able to benefit from the subsidy from Wednesday and Thursday night.
Under the scheme, eligible citizens will get Rs 100 per liter discount on petrol.
Motorcycle and Qingqi customers will be eligible for up to 20 liters of subsidized petrol per month, while owners of vehicles with engine capacity up to 800cc will be eligible for up to 30 liters of subsidized petrol per month.
