After successive increases, the price of petrol reached Rs 392.76.
ISLAMABAD β The Pakistani government on Friday increased the prices of both petrol and high-speed diesel over the weekend. According to the latest revision announced by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 2.10 paise to Rs 392.76 per litre, while High Speed ββDiesel (HSD) has increased by 30 paise to Rs 399.64 per litre.

The latest adjustment was made under the petroleum pricing mechanism approved by the federal government, in which the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot rates.
The latest hike comes a day after the previous revision in petroleum prices was implemented. From October 2, petrol had already become more expensive by Rs 3.26 per litre, to Rs 390.66, while HSD was cut by Rs 1.01 per litre, bringing its price down to Rs 399.34.
With the latest revision, petrol price has risen to Rs 392.76 per liter from Rs 390.66 within a day of the previous rate coming into force, while diesel has also gone higher after its earlier decline.
The government said the latest rates have been determined in accordance with the existing petroleum pricing mechanism and will be effective till October 5.
