Lady Aitchison Hospital’s private block converted into VIP residence of MS’s mother-in-law
LAHORE – Lady Aitchison Hospital, Lahore’s famous maternity hospital, has come to light with shocking allegations regarding the alleged misuse of the hospital’s private block by MS.
The private block of the gynecology facility has been allegedly occupied by the mother-in-law of the hospital’s Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr. Subia Javed for the past four months. The facility is reportedly being used for housing and treatment rather than being allocated to patients.
The situation escalated when reports surfaced that a clip of a woman inside the hospital’s private block also surfaced online. Sources further claim that nurses and staff members of the hospital have been specially assigned to look after her.
The controversy has raised serious questions about the use of public health facilities and administrative privileges within the hospital.
MS Dr. Subia Javed refused to respond to the media regarding her mother-in-law’s treatment and VIP accommodation but confirmed that she has already submitted her official position to the Punjab Health Department.
A Punjab Health Department spokesperson said that MS had submitted an application explaining her mother-in-law’s various health conditions. The Department added that the Health Secretary is currently reviewing the application. The matter is under consideration, as concerns are growing over the alleged use of hospital resources for private accommodation.
