Another blow to militants, 10 killed in Khuzdar operation.
Khuzdar – Security forces killed 10 militants and injured several others during an intelligence-based operation in the hilly area of Khuzdar.
According to sources, the operation was launched after intelligence reports indicated the presence of members of Fitnah-ul-Hindustan in the area. Security forces raided several suspected hideouts, with the militants reportedly operating in three separate small groups. Sources said the troops surrounded the positions and a heavy exchange of fire ensued, resulting in the death of 10 militants and several injuries.
After the recent operation, the security forces intensified the search and clearance operation in the hilly areas. Efforts are also on to trace the militants who may have escaped from the area during the operation.
Security sources said the focus of the operation is on eliminating the militant menace in the region and the pursuit will continue until the last remaining militants are tracked down.
He added that all necessary steps would be taken to bring the militant elements to their “logical end” and prevent them from re-establishing a presence in the area.
