Baskin Robbins and Sweet Cream shops in Lahore were sealed for food safety violations.

LAHORE – Pakistani brands have been found to be violating food health and safety standards, but authorities have clamped down on several popular ice cream outlets. What they found raised immediate concern, as expired products, improper storage practices, and unsanitary conditions failed to meet basic standards.

Several outlets of popular ice cream brands faced action. At an outlet of the popular Baskin-Robbins, officials found that expired brownies were being stored in a deep freezer with regular ice cream stock.

A Sweet Cream branch was also sealed after authorities allegedly found unsanitary conditions and expired food items on the premises. CLips circulating online show inspection teams inspecting the outlet and spotting obvious violations of hygiene protocols.

Another JB’s outlet was also closed after being flagged for comparable violations, according to widely shared online videos.

The coordinated enforcement action has sparked public concern, highlighting how even popular dessert chains are not immune to lapses in food safety compliance. Officials have reiterated that inspections will continue aggressively to prevent the sale of expired or substandard food items and to protect public health.
