Bollywood actor Mushtaq Khan lost his battle with cancer at the age of 56.
MUMBAI – The world of showbiz is mourning the death of veteran actor Mushtaq Khan, who died of cancer at the age of 56. His funeral prayer and burial will be held on Friday.
The actor, known for bringing warmth, humor and memorable performances in supporting roles in hundreds of films, passed away on Thursday around 7 pm, leaving his family, colleagues and fans in deep grief.
According to his family, Khan was admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital about two weeks ago due to abdominal pain. A medical examination revealed that he was suffering from cancer. However, his condition was rapidly deteriorating for the past few days.
What makes his death particularly heartbreaking is that, according to his son, Mushtaq Khan was perfectly fine before he was admitted to the hospital. He was still actively working and was involved in the shooting of Salman Khan’s long-time bodyguard son Sheera’s son’s debut.
Mushtaq Khan leaves behind a wife, a son and a daughter, who are now facing the painful loss of a husband and father.
The news of his death brings a sad end to the journey of an actor who spent nearly 50 years entertaining audiences, leaving behind hundreds of performances and memories that will live on on screen.
