CDF Asim Munir, Lebanese Minister of Interior discussed regional security.
Rawalpindi – Lebanese Minister of Interior and Local Government Ahmed Al Hajr visited General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi and met Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, the meeting discussed issues of mutual interest, the changing regional security situation and ways to further strengthen bilateral ties in the security sector.
The media wing of the army said that the two sides also stressed the importance of strengthening institutional ties and enhancing mutual cooperation between the security agencies of Pakistan and Lebanon.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reiterated Pakistan’s determination to further strengthen bilateral relations with Lebanon and expressed his desire to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in areas of common interest.
The Lebanese Interior Minister appreciated Pakistan’s role in regional peace and stability and acknowledged the professionalism and sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces in the fight against terrorism.
