Federal Cabinet Reshuffle: Who’s In and Who’s Out of Performance Appraisal?

ISLAMABAD – The federal cabinet reshuffle continues, with the Shehbaz Sharif-led government deciding on new appointments to improve governance and administrative efficiency, with several ministers reportedly at risk of losing their portfolios.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is considering reshuffles in his cabinet, with the proposed reshuffle expected to bring in a number of new political faces while ministers whose performance has fallen short of expectations. The move is said to be part of a broader strategy to streamline the federal administration and reduce the financial burden on the national exchequer by merging selected ministries.

According to reports, the politicians who are being considered for inclusion in the cabinet include Faisal Sabzwari, Mukhtar Malik, Amina Batul, Senator Shahzeb Durrani, Senator Afnanullah, Senator Bushra Anjum, Rana Aradat Sharif, Wajiha Qamar, Ali Zahid, Rana Ehsan Afzal, Abdul Rahman, Abdul Rahman and others. Kanju, and Shamila Rana.

Nosheen Iftikhar, Akhtiar Wali and Abdul Rahman Kanju are among the strong contenders for the cabinet posts. Shamaila Rana, Faisal Sabzwari, Mukhtar Malik, and Amna Batul are also expected to join the proposed expansion.

Senator Shahzeb Durrani, Senator Afnanullah and Senator Bushra Anjum will get some new responsibilities. If approved, the newly inducted members will be appointed as Ministers of State.

The expected reshuffle could see several incumbent ministers stripped of their portfolios as the government seeks to reinvigorate the federal cabinet and strengthen its executive performance.

Despite the growing speculation, there has been no official word from a government spokesperson amid the speculation and reports.
