Gold price in Pakistan crosses 487,000 rupees after fresh increase.
ISLAMABAD – Gold prices in Pakistan dealt another major shock to buyers as the precious metal rose by Rs 4,200 per tola, taking the local price to Rs 487,136 amid a strong rally in international markets.
The latest jump has taken gold even closer to the psychologically important Rs 500,000 per tola mark, giving investors and jewelery buyers an upper hand. The price of 10 grams of gold also rose sharply, increasing by Rs 3,601 to Rs 417,640.

The latest move comes just two days after another substantial rise in local gold prices. On Saturday, gold already rose by Rs 5,700 to Rs 482,936 per tola.
