GTA 6 is coming despite the leaks, but not in the way you expected.

After more than 13 years of waiting, GTA 6 is finally coming, and Rockstar just dropped a bombshell that could make the most popular game on the planet even more interesting.

Rockstar Games teased Grand Theft Auto 6 ahead of its launch, confirming that the year’s most anticipated blockbuster will come without traditional microtransactions or creative AI.

After more than a decade of waiting, GTA fans have another reason to be excited. During a recent conversation with Kinda Funny Games, Rockstar was reportedly asked two questions that have become increasingly important in modern gaming: Will players have to spend real money inside GTA 6, and did AI help make the game?

The biggest headline is Rockstar’s alleged decision to launch GTA 6 without the traditional microtransaction system. Players should not expect to repeatedly spend real money on virtual currency, cosmetic items or other digital purchases when the game arrives.

GTA 6 is coming despite the leaks, but not in the way you …..

It’s a surprising decision in an industry where big releases increasingly rely on in-game spending. For a community that has waited over 13 years for a new mainline GTA game, this news may put to rest some of the biggest concerns surrounding the blockbuster release.

But there’s a catch because Rockstar isn’t doing away with premium content entirely. The Standard Edition costs $79.99, while the Ultimate Edition costs $99.99 and comes with additional digital content related to Jason and Lucia.

Buyers of the more expensive version will reportedly have access to special cosmetics, vehicles, weapons and special locations. Featured extras are the Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor and the Stock 305 clothing store. Players who purchase the Standard Edition will also reportedly have the option to upgrade to the Ultimate Edition separately.

So GTA 6 may not have traditional microtransactions at launch, but Rockstar is still using the Premium Edition strategy to monetize additional content.

GTA6 has no generative AI.

Another big reveal is no AI as Kinda Funny’s Greg Miller reportedly asked Rockstar if generative AI was used in the development of GTA 6. The studio’s response was straightforward, the game uses no AI. The statement comes at a time when AI has become one of the gaming industry’s most controversial technologies.

Developers are increasingly experimenting with AI-powered tools, while gamers and industry professionals continue to debate whether artificial intelligence should be involved in the creation of characters, dialogue, environments and other creative elements.

Rockstar’s reported decision to leave generative AI out of GTA 6 could therefore be a major selling point for players who want a traditionally crafted gaming experience.

GTA 6 Release Date

The long wait is almost over. Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026. The confirmed platforms are PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. PC gamers, however, are still waiting for Rockstar to reveal the release date.

If Rockstar follows its previous strategy, the PC version could come sometime after the console launch.

The game has already endured delays and major leaks during development, but Rockstar is now targeting a November release window.

GTA 6 will bring players back to the legendary Vice City, but Rockstar is dramatically expanding the setting.

The game takes place in the fictional state of Leonidas, an expansive environment inspired by different parts of Florida.

The world includes Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Mount Kalaga, and Ambrosia. Rockstar has yet to reveal the official size of the full map. However, reports and alleged footage have suggested that GTA 6 may feature a significantly larger playable world than previous entries.

At the heart of the story are Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. The story begins after Lucia has been released from prison and is determined to build a new future. Jason becomes an important part of her plans, but his ambitions quickly draw him into a dangerous criminal conspiracy unfolding in Leonidas.

Players will be able to take part in missions together while also exploring the world and engaging in activities away from the main story.

GTA 6 can potentially offer around 80 hours of gameplay when optional content is included. Players who mainly stick to the main story may finish the game early. Final playtime will depend heavily on how much Levanda players explore and how many side activities they choose to experience.
