In Chaman, Pakistan foiled an infiltration attempt from Afghanistan and killed several Taliban.

PESHAWAR – Pakistani forces have foiled an infiltration attempt from Afghanistan in Chaman sector, killing several Taliban.

Sources said that the Afghan Taliban forces opened unprovoked fire on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border and tried to enter Pakistani territory.

According to sources, Pakistani security forces responded to the firing by the Afghan Taliban government and targeted the positions using quadcopters and mortar fire.

The retaliatory action reportedly killed several Afghan Taliban fighters and reportedly thwarted the infiltration attempt.

The security forces said they are ready to respond to any infiltration from Afghan territory into Pakistani territory.

The development follows a similar incident reported a day ago in Gulistan sector, where an attack attempt by Afghan Taliban forces was also thwarted. According to security sources, many Afghan Taliban fighters were killed in this retaliatory operation.
