Islamabad, Heavy rains, strong winds provided relief from the heat in Hazara
ISLAMABAD – Heavy rain accompanied by gusty winds lashed several areas of Islamabad on Tuesday, providing much-needed relief from the recent spell of scorching heat.
Rain was recorded in Taramari, Chatta Bakhtawar and New Mill areas, where residents welcomed the cooler weather after days of soaring temperatures.
Meanwhile, dark clouds covered Khanpur Hazara, Khanpur and its surroundings, preceded by strong winds and heavy rains that lashed the entire region.
While the rain brought down the temperature significantly, it also caused water to accumulate in low-lying areas, inundating several roads and disrupting traffic. Officials are monitoring the situation and closely monitoring the situation in the affected areas.
