‘Jo Bashe Hain Sang Samit Lo’: Pakistan’s First Netflix Original Series Expected in 2026

LAHORE – The expected schedule of Pakistan’s first Netflix original series, based on Farhat Ishtiaq’s hugely popular novel “Jo Bashe Hain Sang Samit Lo”, has been revealed.

The novel was first published in installments in “Women’s Digest” in 2009 and was released as a book in 2013. According to recent reports, the series adaptation is now expected to hit Netflix by the end of 2026.

While several successful Pakistani television dramas have previously been made available on Netflix after their telecasts, “Jo Bashe Hai Sang Samit Lo” will be the first Pakistani original series produced exclusively in collaboration with Netflix and Hum TV.

The series features a star-studded cast including Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, Bilal Ashraf, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Hania Aamir, Iqra Aziz, Sanam Saeed, Ahad Raza Mir and Nadia Khan among others. It is directed and produced by Momina Dared.

The project was originally expected to be released in 2025, but did not launch as planned. After the delay, there was no official update from the cast or the production team for the extended period, leading to speculation among the audience whether the project had been postponed or cancelled.

Recent reports suggest that Momina Dared is currently overseeing the final editing process, while the cast is expected to begin promotional activities soon.

However, the long delay has left some Pakistani viewers wary of the latest release reports. Many fans expressed their skepticism on social media, with some saying they will only believe the news when the episodes are officially released.
