Lahore Weather Update: Chance of rain today, bringing relief from hot, humid conditions.
Rain is expected to cool the weather in Lahore, as partly cloudy skies and scattered rain are expected to provide relief from the hot and humid weather.
In its advisory, the Met Office said temperatures are expected to remain between 31°C and 38°C, while intermittent showers are also forecast to continue over the coming week, helping to moderate the heatwave. Weather in Lahore is likely to remain partly cloudy today, with rain expected in various parts of the city which will provide further relief from the recent heat wave.
The current temperature in the city is recorded at 33 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures are expected to be between 31°C and 38°C. Humidity is recorded at 61%, with winds blowing at a speed of 8 kmph, making the weather relatively pleasant.
The PMD has also forecast intermittent rain in Lahore during the coming week, which is expected to further reduce the temperature and keep the weather pleasant. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions in view of possible rain and stay updated with the latest weather advisories.
Meanwhile, the forecast for Karachi will remain cloudy today, with light drizzle likely in some parts of the city. According to the PMD, the temperature had already touched 30 degrees Celsius in the morning, while the mercury is likely to touch 36 degrees Celsius later in the day.
The weather is likely to remain hot and humid throughout the day in the federal capital, Islamabad. The sky may become partly cloudy in the evening, the PMD said. The morning temperature was recorded at 29 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature is likely to touch 40 degrees Celsius.
The PMD has forecast thundershowers in different parts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa today.
