According to the details, the final report of the Examination Board headed by the Karachi Police Surgeon has been submitted in the Mir Raza case.

The report said that the ruptured heart was caused by a gunshot wound to the chest. The bullet entered from behind and exited in front of Mir Raza’s chest.

The Exhumation Board further stated that the available evidence was not consistent with suicide, ruling suicide as the manner of death.

The report also confirmed the presence of hydrochloric acid on Mir Raza’s shirt. Traces of the local anesthetic bupivacaine were found in his blood sample.

Laboratory analysis found no evidence of narcotic, sedative or toxic substances. However, samples taken from his shirt revealed bullet residue.

Traces of lead and barium were found on both the front and back of the shirt. According to the medical board, the presence of lead and barium is consistent with particulate matter discharged from firearms.

The report further stated that a large amount of bullet residue was found around the wound on the deceased’s back.
