New Petrol & Diesel Prices in Pakistan for September 24, 2026
ISLAMABAD – After the federal government announced a significant reduction in the price of high-speed diesel and further reduction in petrol prices, motorcyclists have got some relief.
The government has reduced the price of high-speed diesel by Rs 4.21 per litre, bringing the new price down from Rs 418.96 to Rs 414.75. Petrol consumers will also see a cut, with the price of motor spirit reduced by Rs 1.93 per liter from Rs 392.05 to Rs 390.12 per litre.
The revised prices will be effective from September 24, 2026, as per the petroleum pricing mechanism notified by the federal government.
The latest cut comes after a review of international oil market conditions. The petroleum division said the adjustment reflects changes in plate rates, petroleum premium and other incidental expenses.
The latest announcement comes after another round of price cuts in the previous review. At that time, the government had reduced the price of high-speed diesel by Rs 3.12 per litre, while the price of petrol was reduced by Rs 1.70 per litre, bringing their prices to Rs 418.96 and Rs 392.05 respectively.
With the latest correction, both major petroleum products recorded another downward adjustment.
The domestic cuts come at a time when international crude markets are facing fresh volatility. Global oil prices rose about 2 percent a barrel on Wednesday, as traders weighed developments around Iran and the potential impact of geopolitical tensions on regional oil supplies.
Brent crude futures were up $1.84, or 1.85%, at $101.09 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was up 69 cents, or 0.76%, at $91.21 a barrel by 11:11 a.m. EDT.
