Pakistan rejected the Afghan claim of destroying a Pakistani border post.

Islamabad – Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has dismissed as baseless the claim of the Afghan Ministry of Defense to destroy a Pakistani check post near Aspinboldak.

In a fact-check issued in response to the Afghan ministry’s statement, Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said the claim was false and fabricated.

According to the ministry, during the intervening night of September 24 and 25, an Afghan infiltration attempt in Golestan sector was foiled. It said Pakistani forces retaliated, causing heavy damage to Taliban hideouts.

At least 13 Afghan Taliban personnel were killed and several wounded during the clashes, the ministry said.

It added that video footage and photographs provided evidence of the border skirmishes and Pakistan’s subsequent response, refuting the Afghan Defense Ministry’s claim.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said that the Afghan Ministry of Defense tried to distort the facts surrounding the incident and called its claim of destroying the Pakistani post baseless.
