Prime Minister Shehbaz arrived in Turkey to discuss trade, investment and security.

Istanbul – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Istanbul on Friday on a bilateral visit to Turkey at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

At the Ataturk Airport, the Prime Minister was received by Turkish Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Umar Bolat, Pakistani Ambassador to Turkey Dr. Yusuf Junaid and senior officials of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Pakistani Embassy.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif arrived in Istanbul on a bilateral visit to Turkey.

At the Ataturk Airport in Istanbul, the Minister of Commerce of Turkey Prof. Dr. Umar Bolat, Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkey Dr. Yusuf Junaid and other officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Embassy of Turkey welcomed the Prime Minister.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Information and Broadcasting Minister Ataullah Tarar are accompanying the Prime Minister in the visit.

During his stay, the Prime Minister will discuss the full spectrum of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Turkey with President Erdoğan. The talks are expected to focus on strengthening cooperation in trade and investment while the two leaders will also discuss regional peace and security.

The prime minister will also address a business conference hosted by Pakistan in Istanbul. The event will showcase investment opportunities in Pakistan, highlighting Special Economic Zones (SEZs), energy, information technology, privatization and other key sectors.

Turkey’s top business leaders, investors, senior government officials and other distinguished guests are expected to participate in the conference aimed at promoting strong economic and trade relations between Pakistan and Turkey.
