Prime Minister Shehbaz condemned the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia on the phone with MBS.
ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday had a telephonic conversation with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad Bin Salman.
During a warm and cordial conversation, Prime Minister Shehbaz strongly condemned the recent Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, particularly those targeting the country’s civilian and economic infrastructure.
Expressing Pakistan’s complete solidarity with the Saudi leadership and people, the Prime Minister said that the recent activities of the Houthi rebels pose a threat to regional peace and security and may further affect the global economy and energy supply.
Shahbaz Sharif said that he along with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will continue efforts to reduce tension and promote peace in the region.
The Prime Minister also praised the wise and far-sighted leadership of the Saudi Crown Prince during the current crisis.
He expressed his best wishes and heartfelt respect for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
On his part, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman appreciated Pakistan’s continuous and unwavering support for Saudi Arabia and its efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
The two leaders agreed to stay in close touch and expressed their desire to meet soon.
