Relief for Umrah pilgrims as Saudi Arabia announces 1-year multiple entry visa
RIYADH – Saudi Arabia has introduced a one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa, allowing pilgrims to visit the kingdom multiple times on a single visa.
The new visa enables eligible travelers to make multiple visits to Saudi Arabia within a 365-day period from the date of issue, eliminating the need to apply for a new visa for each visit.
Under the policy, visa holders will be allowed to stay in the Kingdom for up to 90 days during the one-year validity of the visa, providing greater flexibility for pilgrims wishing to perform Umrah or stay longer in the country.
However, Saudi authorities clarified that multiple entry Umrah visas cannot be used to enter the Kingdom during the annual Hajj season, as separate arrangements and visa regulations for Hajj pilgrims will continue to apply.
The initiative is expected to support Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to facilitate travel for international visitors, reduce the frequency of visa applications and improve religious tourism and services for visitors to the two holy mosques.
The visa is valid for 365 days from the date of issue and allows for multiple entries, allowing holders to stay in the Kingdom for a total of 90 days during the visa’s validity.
Applications will be processed through the Kingdom’s official Nusuk platform. However, the Saudi authorities have clarified that the visa cannot be used during the Hajj season and pilgrims wishing to perform Hajj must obtain a designated Hajj visa.
