The President, the Prime Minister appealed to Pakistanis to follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet on the occasion of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi.
ISLAMABAD – President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have congratulated the Muslims of Pakistan and around the world on the occasion of Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (PBUH) and urged people to seek guidance from the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
In his message, President Zardari described the birth of the Prophet of Islam as a moment that guided humanity based on faith, justice, mercy and moral values. He said that the teachings of the Prophet of Islam changed the society by replacing ignorance with knowledge, injustice with justice and social division with brotherhood and equality.
The President of the State emphasized that the Prophet’s biography provides guidance for building a society based on justice, compassion, responsibility, piety and respect for human dignity. He also highlighted the rights of the vulnerable members of the society including the orphans, the poor and the needy.
Zardari urged the youth to be inspired by the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through pursuit of knowledge, strong character, hard work and service to humanity.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also congratulated the Muslims on this blessed occasion and said that the Prophet of Islam presented a comprehensive lifestyle based on faith, knowledge, ethics and justice.
He said that this year, Eid Milad-ul-Nabi (PBUH) is being celebrated at the national level under the theme “Protection, formation and character building of the new generation in the light of the Prophet’s (PBUH) biography”.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of inculcating honesty, integrity, hard work, discipline, respect for law and sense of responsibility among the youth.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the teachings of the Prophet of Islam provide guidance to deal with the economic, social and moral challenges of the present time. He also stressed on unity among different religions, inter-communal harmony and respect.
The Prime Minister urged the nation to make the teachings of the Prophet of Islam a part of individual behavior and collective life and play their role in building a peaceful, prosperous and prosperous Pakistan.
