4 militants were killed in separate operations in Balochistan, KP.
QUETTA – Security forces have killed four militants in separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, according to security officials.
Three members of the group, which authorities have called Fitnah al-Khawarij, were killed in an intelligence-led operation in North Waziristan’s Mir Ali region. Officials said that arms and ammunition have been recovered from the crime scene, while hideouts of militants have also been destroyed during the operation.
In Balochistan, another operation was conducted near Mall Madrasah in Sorab area under Operation Rid Al-Fatna 3. Security officials said the operation was carried out following intelligence inputs indicating the presence of militants in the area between Mall Madrasa and Batigo.
According to officials, the security personnel exchanged fire with the militants in which one of them was killed while the other escaped. According to information, a weapon and a motorcycle have been recovered from the crime scene.
Security officials said their operations in Balochistan were aimed at countering militant activities and restoring peace and stability across the province.
Also, in Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a militant was reportedly killed when his explosive device exploded prematurely. The man was allegedly on his way to the patwar’s office and planned to attack him in connection with an extortion dispute, security officials said.
The premature blast also damaged two nearby houses, causing parts of their walls to collapse, officials said.
The latest incidents have come at a time when security operations have intensified across Balochistan. On September 27, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said more than 70 militants were killed in multiple operations conducted over four days in the province.
