Bahrain, Oman are under fresh Iranian attacks as Middle East conflicts escalate.
TEHRAN/MANAMA – Iranian forces have continued attacks across the Gulf, targeting Bahrain and Oman, accusing them of targeting key military assets linked to the United States.
In a statement, the IRGC confirmed the targeting of US military installations in Jaffir, Bahrain, and claimed that a fire broke out at the site. It said the forces destroyed Oman’s long-range FPS airborne radar and ship detection radar system.
The US military says it hit dozens of targets across Iran, including air defense systems, radar sites, missile and drone installations and small boats.

The attacks are in response to the second day of US military strikes against Iran. The latest tensions dealt another blow to an interim deal aimed at ending months of hostilities that have roiled global energy markets and raised fears of a wider regional conflict.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said its latest military operation hit about 140 Iranian military targets. US forces conducted precision strikes at dozens of locations across Iran aimed at undermining Tehran’s ability to threaten international shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, Centcom said.
The operation targeted Iranian air defense systems, coastal radar installations, missile and drone capabilities, and small ships. The US military said warplanes, naval warships, one-way attack drones and, for the first time, one-way maritime drones were used during the offensive.
The command also rejected Iranian claims over the strategic waterway, insisting that Tehran has no control over the Strait of Hormuz. It said U.S. forces remain fully deployed to guarantee freedom of navigation for merchant ships despite what it described as Iran’s continued aggression, threats and intimidation.
Iranian state media reported that the US strikes were carried out in several locations in southern and western Iran, including Qeshm Island, Bandar Abbas near the Strait of Hormuz, and areas in Khuzestan province bordering Iraq.
Iranian officials said an agricultural water pumping station in Mahshahr, Khuzestan, was also among the damaged sites. Provincial authorities reported that one person was killed while four others were injured.
Earlier on Sunday, Iran also reported attacks on its two southern islands. Meanwhile, Kuwait said several border posts and an offshore oil platform had been attacked following Iranian strikes targeting US military installations in the country.
The latest escalation in hostilities followed an incident in which Iran said it fired a warning shot at a merchant ship transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The ship later caught fire, forcing its crew to abandon ship.
The IRGC claimed responsibility for attacks on command and control centers and drone installations in Jordan. It also said it hit a US radar installation in Kuwait, struck an aircraft carrier support and refueling platform in Oman, and destroyed a jet maintenance facility with a command center in Qatar.
As the conflict deepened, diplomatic efforts continued to avert a wider regional war. Pakistan and other mediators have been working to revive talks after US President Donald Trump announced earlier this week that a ceasefire with Iran following the June 18 interim deal had effectively ended.
Iranian officials have blamed Washington for destabilizing Hormuz, saying the latest U.S. military operations have derailed ongoing diplomatic efforts and pushed the region closer to insecurity again.
