Mobile call, data package prices increase as PTA updates tariff sheets.

ISLAMABAD – Mobile network operators across Pakistan have increased the prices of call and data packages, while the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has released updated tariff sheets for 15 hybrid and data-only packages.

According to the PTA, the prices of some mobile packages have been hiked by up to 33 percent, with monthly call and data bundles costing up to Rs 500.

The revised tariff also includes an increase of Rs 300 for 15-day packages, Rs 130 for weekly hybrid packages, Rs 21 for three-day packages, Rs 20 for two-day packages and up to Rs 5 for one-day hybrid packages.

The PTA said it has further enhanced the consumer awareness section to help consumers make informed choices. The updated portal now provides revised tariff sheets, current prices, validity periods, package benefits and quarterly details for 15 hybrid and data-only packages, allowing users to more easily compare offers from different mobile operators.

Promoting transparency in the telecommunication sector and protecting the interests of consumers are its top priorities, the regulator said.
