In Gujranwala, a dispute over Rs 10 took the life of a rickshaw driver
Gujranwala – A rickshaw driver died after allegedly being beaten up during a dispute over petty cash in Gujranwala, Punjab.
According to the police, the tragic incident took place in Arup area. The deceased, identified as Ramzan, used to park his rickshaw at the petrol station for a daily fee of Rs 50. However, a scuffle broke out when a security guard allegedly demanded Rs 60 instead of Rs 50.
During the altercation, the security guard allegedly assaulted Ramzan, resulting in his death.
The police have registered a case on the complaint of the victim’s son, while the accused security guard has fled from the spot.
Police officials say that raids are being conducted to arrest the accused and he will be taken into custody soon.
