Today’s weather update in Islamabad: Meteorological department has predicted rain

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast partly cloudy weather in and around Islamabad with strong winds and thundershowers.

According to the weather forecast, there may be hailstorm in some areas of Islamabad. Temperatures are expected to be between 21°C and 34°C.

The weather is likely to remain hot and dry in most of the plains of the country, while the forecast is likely to remain partly cloudy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Upper Punjab.

The department has predicted rain with gusty winds, thunder and dust at various places. Heavy rain and hailstorm are also likely at some places.

Meanwhile, the residents of Islamabad have been told that due to ongoing development works, electricity supply will remain suspended in many areas on Friday.

Islamabad Electric Supply Company (ISCO) has issued a schedule of temporary power outages on selected feeders. According to the company, power supply will be suspended for several hours due to ongoing development projects by the district administration.

ISCO said that power outage is scheduled from 8 am to 12 noon in various areas.

The company apologized to customers for the inconvenience caused by the temporary suspension and provided a helpline for assistance.
