NA 168 by-election: Counting of votes continues as polling ends in Bahawalpur.

Bahawalpur – Polling for the by-election in National Assembly Constituency NA-168 started at 8 am, ended at the scheduled time of 5 pm.

According to the Election Commission, the voters inside the polling stations will be allowed to vote at the end of the polling.

A total of 20 candidates are contesting in the NA-168 by-election.

The constituency has a total population of 937,095, with 483,143 registered voters. Registered voters include 248,529 males and 234,614 females.

A total of 292 polling stations were established in NA 168, out of which 16 were declared sensitive. More than 3,000 police personnel were deployed for the security of the election process while Pakistan Army and Rangers personnel were on standby.

NA 168 seat fell vacant after the death of Muslim League (N) National Assembly member Malik Muhammad Iqbal Chanar.
