Imran H Sheikh took over as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Bank Islami.
KARACHI – Bank Islami, one of the fastest growing Islamic financial institutions in Pakistan, has appointed Imran H Sheikh as its President and Chief Executive Officer.
Imran has over two decades of experience and deep understanding of the industry. He served as the Dy Chief Executive Officer of Bank Islami and led the bank’s growth in recent years. Under his leadership, the bank strengthened its nationwide footprint across all business verticals, with a clear priority on expanding access to Shariah-compliant financial services.
Their contributions range from doubling the bank’s digital capabilities, upgrading core banking systems to launching Pakistan’s first Islamic digital banking platform, aik. These efforts have earned the bank several national and international accolades, including being recognized as Pakistan’s Best Islamic Bank in 2025 and Pakistan’s Best Islamic Digital Bank in 2026 by the Euromoney Islamic Finance Awards.
Prior to joining Bank Islami, he spent nearly fourteen years at JS Bank, where he became the Chief Operating Officer.
