LAHORE – Tik Tok star Nadeem Mubarak aka Naniwala is facing another case at Lahore’s Defense-C police station for reckless driving, interfering with official duty and threatening an online duty policeman.

Lahore Police confirmed that the suspect has been arrested and is currently under investigation, with his court appearance scheduled for tomorrow. The FIR, registered under Sections 186, 189 and 279, said the incident took place when the traffic police directed the Audi GTE Tron to “apply for registration status” to stop it. The driver failed to comply and instead sped off, later being spotted driving against traffic rules.

The high-end vehicle was spotted near Raya Club, where it continued to travel on the wrong side of the road. The policemen tried to stop the vehicle using a government patrol car and directed the driver to stop again. However, the driver allegedly tried to hit the police vehicle, which led to a collision.

Authorities added that when the suspect was directed to accompany police to the station, he allegedly threatened the officers.

The police registered a case under relevant provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code, including Sections 279 (rash driving), 186 (obstructing a public servant) and 189 (threatening a public servant).

This is not the first legal trouble for Nadeem Mubarak as he was previously sued for promoting gambling apps online. In September last year, a separate case of displaying a fake registration number of a vehicle created a sensation on social media. ‘IK-804’on one of his rides.

At that time Naniwala was using the number, which has been given to jailed PTI chief Imran Khan.

Meanwhile, the Lahore Traffic Police said a city-wide crackdown on traffic violations is underway, targeting those misusing fake documents, illegal number plates, and “applied for” plates. Officials reiterated that enforcement action was being taken indiscriminately and no exception would be made to violators.
