A 64-year-old man from Karachi confessed to killing his wife for refusing to have sex
KARACHI – A disturbing and unusual case was reported from Pakistan’s largest city, Karachi, when a 64-year-old man walked into the Pakistan Bazar police station and allegedly confessed to killing his 58-year-old wife.
Karachi Police said that the accused reached the police station early in the morning and calmly confessed to the crime. The officer said the confession was so unexpected that he first assumed it was a prank. “I thought it was a joke. Who kills someone and then comes to the police station and confesses?” The IO cried out his shock at the scene.
The revelation of the 64-year-old accused Ali Asghar, who killed his 58-year-old wife simply because she refused to have intercourse, seemed so satisfied that the police were also surprised, arrested him, and recovered the body and the device himself.

The officer added that he recorded the suspect’s statement on his mobile phone, during which the man allegedly confessed that a domestic dispute escalated after his wife refused to have sex, resulting in him assaulting her with an iron rod.
The clip, initially shared internally with senior officers, later surfaced online and quickly went viral on social media platforms, sparking outrage and intense public debate.
After the confession, the police took the accused to the address provided in Orangi Town, Ghaziabad. Upon arrival, officers found a locked home, which the suspect allegedly opened himself. Inside, police found the body of a 58-year-old woman lying on a bed, covered with a sheet.
Authorities confirmed that no one else was at the residence at the time. A modest house of about 100-120 square yards with a tin roof, became the focus of a chilling investigation. The accused was produced in a local court on Friday afternoon. Fazil judge sent him to police custody on two-day physical remand.
According to the FIR, the suspect asked his wife for intercourse at around 1:16 am, and on her refusal, he allegedly became enraged and attacked her with an iron rod and a cutter. After the incident, he reportedly locked the house and went straight to the police station to surrender.
Later, the police shifted the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital through Edhi Ambulance. Police confirmed that the weapon that he is believed to have surrendered was also recovered from the possession of the suspect.
Officials revealed that the victim’s sons have refused to file a case against their father, prompting the state to become the complainant in the case.
