KARACHI – The US dollar ended the week at Rs 278.05 for buying and Rs 278.55 for selling against the Pakistani rupee.
Euro was available for buying at Rs 322.48 and selling at Rs 325.46, while British Pound Sterling was priced at Rs 375.75 for buying and Rs 378.70 for selling. UAE dirham was bought at Rs 75.75 and sold at Rs 76.58, while Saudi riyal was bought at Rs 74.05 and sold at Rs 74.70.

US dollar exchange rate in Pakistan
In the open market rate, the US dollar remained close to the level of Rs 278, with a buying rate of Rs 278.05 and a selling rate of Rs 278.55.
The latest State Bank of Pakistan data shows the USD/PKR M2M revaluation rate at 277.3228 on September 11, while its average bid and offer rates were 277.0427 and 277.4678, respectively.
The Euro was traded at Rs 322.48 on the buy side and Rs 325.46 on the sell side. The British pound remained significantly dearer with rates of Rs 375.75 and Rs 378.70 respectively.
For Pakistani workers, travelers and families receiving remittances from Gulf countries, the UAE dirham and Saudi riyal are among the most closely watched currencies.
