Flour prices have risen across Pakistan, with Karachi topping the list at Rs 2,900 per 20 kg bag.
KARACHI – Flour prices have increased further across Pakistan, with Karachi recording the highest price for a 20 kg bag of flour, according to the latest data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
The bureau said the maximum price of a 20 kg bag of flour in Karachi has reached Rs 2,900, making it the most expensive city in the country for flour.
According to PBS, the price of a 20 kg bag of flour in Islamabad, Quetta and Khuzdar is Rs 2,800, while it has reached Rs 2,750 in Peshawar.
The same bag is being sold at Rs 2747 in Rawalpindi, Rs 2740 in Hyderabad and Rs 2700 in Bannu.
The bureau has quoted Rs 2,560 in Sukkur, Rs 2,500 in Larkana, Rs 2,420 in Multan and Rs 2,400 in both Gujranwala and Bahawalpur.
Meanwhile, according to the latest official data, the price of a 20 kg bag of flour is Rs 2,333 in Sialkot, Rs 2,300 in Faisalabad, Rs 2,250 in Lahore and Rs 2,240 in Sargodha.
