ISLAMABAD – For thousands of Pakistani job seekers, a huge opportunity has just opened up. The Federal Public Service Commission has announced 524 federal government vacancies under Phase III 2026, offering vacancies from BS-16 to BPS-20 in education, healthcare, IT, police and other important departments.
The latest recruitment drive covers a wide range of federal ministries, departments and institutions with vacancies from BS-16 to BPS-20. Candidates have been given time till 21st August 2026 to submit their applications online while the written exams are expected to start from 10th October 2026.
The announcement includes opportunities for professionals in education, healthcare, information technology, law enforcement, engineering, meteorology and management fields.
98 teaching posts
Among the largest batch of vacancies are 98 Secondary School Teacher (Male), BS-17 vacancies in Directorate of Educational Institutions, Federal Govt.
There are also 27 Computer Instructor (Male) and 14 Computer Instructor (Female) posts in the education sector, creating additional opportunities for candidates with teaching and IT-related qualifications.
Health care jobs
The healthcare sector has also got a significant share in the recruitment drive. In Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), the advertisement includes 70 Charge Nurse in BS-16 and 50 Medical Officer in BS-17 vacancies.
Vacancies provide opportunities for qualified health care professionals seeking employment in federal government agencies.
Police, FIA Jobs
The recruitment drive has extended beyond education and health care. 29 Lecturer (Male) Vacancy has been announced in Gilgit-Baltistan. Meanwhile, Islamabad Capital Territory Police has 23 Inspector vacancies in BS-16, while Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has announced 22 Superintendent posts in BS-16.
These positions add to the diversity of FPSC’s latest recruitment drive, which spans a number of professional and managerial disciplines.
Major Federal Ministries and Departments in the list
According to the declaration, appointments will be made in several important federal ministries and institutions, which include:
- Ministry of Defence
- Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control
- Ministry of National Health Services
- Board of Investment
- Pakistan Meteorological Department
- Ministry of Climate Change
- Management of Federal Government Educational Institutions
- Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences
- Federal Investigation Agency
- Islamabad Capital Territory Police
The posts are mainly from BS-16 to BPS-20, the candidates have to fulfill the prescribed qualification, experience, domicile and quota conditions for the individual posts.
Provincial domicile and quota rules apply.
Candidates from all over Pakistan can compete for the advertised vacancies, with domicile and quota requirements specified for each vacancy.
So applicants need to check the eligibility criteria and quota details carefully before submitting their applications.
Application fee
The commission has also specified different application fees as per the pay scale. Candidates applying for BS-16 and BS-17 posts will pay Rs 600, while the fee for BS-18 posts is Rs 1500.
For BPS-19, applicants have to pay Rs 2,500, while candidates applying for BPS-20 and above have to pay Rs 3,000. The fee is to be paid online through the PSID generated through the application portal.
FPSC has directed the candidates to submit their applications exclusively through their official online system. Paper based or manually submitted applications will not be entertained.
With the deadline on August 21, prospective applicants are urged to complete the process before the deadline instead of waiting until the last minute.
Written test
The recruitment process is expected to enter its examination phase from October 10, 2026, giving applicants a limited window to prepare for the written examinations after completing their applications.
