Lahore Weather: More rains forecast till July 13

LAHORE – The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted more rains today and has urged the authorities concerned to remain alert as the wet weather is expected to continue in the coming days.

According to the department, the current temperature in the city is 29 degrees Celsius, humidity is recorded at 77 percent and winds are blowing at a speed of 13 kmph.

Temperatures during the day are expected to be between 28°C and 36°C.

The Meteorological Department said the rains are likely to continue till July 13 as the moisture-laden Monsoon current continues over the upper parts of the country.

A westerly weather system is also expected to move into northern areas later today, bringing the chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Officials have warned that heavy rains could cause waterlogging in low-lying areas and urban flooding in dangerous areas.

Light overnight rains have already provided relief from the heat, leaving the city partly cloudy with more rain expected over the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, below normal rainfall is expected across the country during July 2026, with the most pronounced adverse anomalies expected over northeastern Punjab and adjoining areas of Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as southeastern parts of Sindh.

In contrast, the northern regions including Gilgit-Baltistan and northeastern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to receive near-normal to moderate rainfall.
