Pakistan squad announced for Asian Games, Sahibzada Farhan appointed captain.

LAHORE – Sahibzada Farhan will lead the Pakistan men’s team in the Asian Games 2026, scheduled to be held in Aichi Nagoya, Japan from September 19 to October 4, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Wednesday.

The 10-team men’s T20I event will be played at Kurogi Athletic Park in Aichi Prefecture.

The men’s cricket event will start from September 24 while the medal matches will be played on October 3.

Farhan, 30, has scored 1305 runs in 46 T20 matches for Pakistan, including two centuries and 10 fifties. Abdul Samad, who has played five T20 matches for Pakistan, has been appointed as the vice-captain of the team.

In the 15-member squad, Akif Javed, Ali Raza, Muaz Sadaqat and Saad Masood are the four players who are yet to represent Pakistan in the T20I format.

Additionally, 14 of the 15 players selected for the Asian Games squad are part of the NCA White Ball Camp, which is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 15 in Lahore.

Sahibzada Farhan (captain), Abdul Samad (vice-captain), Abrar Ahmed, Ahmed Daniyal, Akif Javed, Ali Raza, Arafat Minhas, Haider Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Muaz Sadaqat, Muhammad Salman Mirza, Saad Masood, Saeem Ayub, Sufyan Muqim and Usman Khan (wicket keeper).
