Petrol price in Pakistan increased by Rs 3.26 to Rs 390.66 per litre.
ISLAMABAD – The Pakistani government on October 2 increased the price of petrol by Rs 3.26 per liter while the price of High Speed ββDiesel (HSD) has been reduced by Rs 1.01 per litre.
A press release issued by the Petroleum Division of the Ministry of Energy on Thursday, October 1, said that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices under the petroleum pricing mechanism notified by the federal government. The new rates will be effective from October 2, 2026.

Under the latest revision, the price of high speed diesel has been reduced from Rs 400.35 to Rs 399.34 per litre, recording a decrease of Rs 1.01. Meanwhile, the price of motor spirit (petrol) has been hiked from Rs 387.40 to Rs 390.66 per litre, an increase of Rs 3.26 per litre.
Globally, Brent crude was at $103.86 a barrel, up $1.30 from the previous day. Amid continued volatility in global energy markets, oil prices rose 6.65 percent over the past month and 57.46 percent over the past year.
