Four terrorists killed in various intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: ISPR

PESHAWAR – Four terrorists were killed in two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) by security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa between June 3 and 4, according to the army’s media wing.

These operations were carried out following reports of the presence of militants linked to Fitnah-ul-Khawarij in Dera Ismail Khan and Mohmand districts.

In Dera Ismail Khan, security forces launched an intelligence-led operation following confirmed intelligence information about the presence of militants in the area. During the operation, the troops effectively located the hideout of the terrorists, leading to a fierce exchange of fire in which two militants were killed.

In a separate operation in Mohmand district, security forces conducted another targeted operation, leading to a fierce gun battle in which two more militants were killed.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorists, who were allegedly involved in several terrorist activities in the region.

After the operation, security forces launched a sweeping operation in the affected areas to eliminate any remaining militants and ensure stability. The army said the operation was aimed at dismantling terrorist networks and preventing further incidents.

The ISPR added that these operations are part of Pakistan’s ongoing counter-terrorism campaign under the national vision “Azmi Isthikam” approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the framework of the National Action Plan.

The statement said that security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue operations across the country to eliminate militancy and strengthen security.
