Raza Dar Named in Another FIR on ‘Hit and Run’ After Crypto Extortion Case
LAHORE – In the midst of a high-profile crypto extortion and kidnapping case, political stalwart Raza Dar’s son has been named in yet another FIR. This time, he is facing charges in a hit-and-run incident in Lahore, where a citizen claims his vehicle was damaged to the tune of Rs 300,000 after it allegedly hit a car attached to a fence.
Raza Dar faces fresh legal trouble after another criminal case was registered against him at the Cantt Police Station, Lahore, in which a citizen’s car was allegedly damaged to the tune of Rs 3 lakh.
According to the FIR, the complainant Muhammad Usman alleged that the incident took place on July 1 at 7:45 pm near Toyota Motors on Airport Road. Usman said he was driving his Nissan Lux from Tin Garden to Bhatta Chowk when a vehicle allegedly belonging to Raza Dar hit the back of his car.
The complainant claimed that the impact caused severe damage to his vehicle, including the trunk, rear bumper, right tail light, spare wheel compartment, and other rear parts, estimated at around Rs.300,000.
Usman alleged that the driver managed to flee the scene immediately after the collision without stopping or giving assurance of compensation. In her complaint, she urged the police to take legal action against the accused and ensure compensation for the damage to her vehicle.
After a preliminary investigation, the South Cantt Police registered an FIR under Section 279 (rash and reckless driving) and Section 427 (causing damage) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Crypto extrusion case and kidnapping
The Punjab government ordered the police to investigate the abduction and alleged gang-rape of two foreign women strictly on merit after it emerged that one of the accused was allegedly related to Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.
The victims, a Dutch national and a Venezuelan national, were rescued after the DHA in Lahore alerted the Pakistani authorities on an emergency call from Spain. Police allege that the women were lured to Pakistan by Ahmed Raza Dar, whom they met in Singapore in 2025.
According to investigators, Ahmad Raza Dar, Sikandar Aziz Khan, Hasan Raza and Sajid Ali kidnapped the women on June 29, demanded a ransom of $1.5 million and sexually assaulted them repeatedly while in custody.
Police traced the accused using CCTV footage and recovered the women within two hours. The four accused have been sent to jail on five-day physical remand, forensic samples have been obtained for DNA testing. Officials say the investigation will continue without preferential treatment despite the alleged political connection.
