Pakistan has extended the closure of airspace for Indian flights till July 24

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has extended the closure of its airspace for Indian flights till July 24, according to a new Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority.

All Indian-registered commercial and military aircraft will be barred from entering Pakistan’s airspace for another month, the notum said. This ban will remain in place till 5 AM on 24th July 2026.

It added that aircraft leased by Indian airlines as well as aircraft owned or operated by Indian persons are also included in the ban.

Pakistan has closed its airspace for Indian flights from April 23, 2025. The ban has reportedly cost Indian airlines billions due to longer routes and increased operational costs.
