DUBAI – The United Arab Emirates has strongly denied international media reports alleging that it facilitated the transfer of funds to Iran, including claims of around $3 billion.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates completely rejected these allegations and called them false and baseless. The ministry said there is no truth to reports that frozen Iranian assets have been released or transferred through the UAE.

It further clarified that no such funds were transferred, and the UAE played no role in facilitating any such financial transaction.

The ministry also urged media organizations to exercise caution and accuracy in reporting, stressing the importance of relying on official sources and avoiding spreading unverified claims.

Some international reports suggested the existence of possible financing arrangements linked to regional diplomatic efforts. However, none of these claims have been independently verified by the governments involved, including the UAE or Iran.

Authorities in the UAE urged media organizations to rely on verified official information and avoid spreading unverified allegations.
